Case of Waterford Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
Our Cabernet Sauvignon is the leading varietal on Waterford Estate, thanks to the optimal terroir found on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain. Our region is known as the golden triangle, due to the number of award-winning wines it produces. The Helderberg is widely considered as the top Cabernet producing area in the country. Our Cabernet Sauvignon is characterised by earthy aromatics, well-textured tannins and fresh finishes. These are some of the factors that contribute towards the area being renowned and distinguished for the longevity of its wines and therefore its investment value.
It shows pure fruit and earthy notes complimented by classical pencil lead-like aromas and a typical dry tannin structure with a seamless balance to the finish. The vintage can be considered classical in style, with a tight tannin structure and fresh acidity.
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS
With the classical earthy and savory characteristics of the wine along with the dry tannin structure. Classical red meat dishes seasoned with cracked sea salt pair well but also pairs well with other savory dishes.
