Wine In The Warehouse recognises the importance of protecting our user’s personal information. Due to this, we shall take reasonable steps to protect our user’s personal information, one such step was the compilation of this Privacy Policy.

For the purposes of this policy, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000. This personal information includes, but is not limited to, the following: name and surname; verification that you are of legal age (18 years or older in South Africa); address and contact details including your email address, phone number and area or postal code; personal preferences if provided; browsing history; purchase history; non-personal browsing habits and click patterns and your IP address.

We collect, store and use the personal information described in order to (but not limited to the following):

  • enable you to make use of this website in the manner described on this website, from time to time;

  • compile and maintain the website and client database;

We do not collect and/or store any customer payment information as the payment process is redirected and handled independently through DPO South Africa’s secure Payment Gateway PayFast. Data Collection Methods
The personal information is collected either electronically (for example, through the use of cookies) or is provided voluntarily by users of and/or visitors to the Wine In The Warehouse website. You may determine cookie use independently through your web browser settings. You may request details of your personal information which we collect, store and use. In the event that your personal information is inaccurately or incompletely reflected in our database, you agree that it is your responsibility to notify us of this fact and to supply us with the accurate or complete information to enable us to remedy the same. Personal information collected from you may be deleted from the website and member databases when your account on the website is terminated for any reason. We may compile, use and share any of the information that is anonymised and/or does not relate to a specific individual. We will never share, disclose, or sell the personal information unless we are required to do so by law.

Communications to Our Users
We send all users updates on their order status to ensure a high quality purchase experience for our customers. These status updates are including but not limited to: order confirmation updates, payment status updates, delivery tracking estimates and delivery status updates. All these updates will be communicated to our users through either the email address or phone number provided when they checkout their basket of goods.

The Wine On Time Website provides users the opportunity to subscribe to our newsletter. On subscription our users are asked for contact information such as name and e-mail address. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present this subscription as an opt in/opt out service so the users have complete control over whether or not they receive our newsletter communications.

Notification of Changes to Privacy Policy
This policy may be revised over time as new features are added and changes are made to the Wine In The Warehouse Website.
