Case of Neil Ellis Groenekloof Cinsaut

Known as the workhorse grape, Cinsaut has achieved cult status in the SA wine industry with premium examples from the Darling region. In Groenekloof, a ward within Darling, Warren discovered a tiny, almost-forgotten Cinsaut vineyard. The conditions were perfect and the vineyard in outstanding condition. From this, he produced a distinctive style of Cinsaut in extremely limited quantities that pays tribute to the heritage of the South African wine industry.

Tasting Notes

Deep intense colour with a bright crimson hue. A complex mix of red berries lead by rasberries, ending with spice notes and perfumed characters. The palate is bright, and youthful with rasberries and fine tannins.
