The name "Warlord" for our Bordeaux blend aims to convey a sense of power, boldness, and authority, characteristics that reflect the wine's flavour profile, structure, and complexity.

Bordeaux blends are typically robust, with a combination of strong tannins, deep fruit flavours, and earthy notes, which aligns with the imagery evoked by the term "Warlord."

By naming the wine "Warlord," we are emphasising the intensity and dominance of the wine's characteristics, suggesting that it stands out as a powerful or commanding blend.

It was also to give the wine an identity that evokes strength, leadership, and a certain level of exclusivity and prestige, much like a "Warlord" in historical or fantasy contexts.

In essence, the name enhances the perception of the wine as one with a bold personality and a strong presence on the palate

All grapeswere hand-harvested and meticulously sorted inthe early morning at Cavalli to ensure optimal fruit quality. The Cabernet Sauvignon underwent fermentation in stainless steel tanks, with 3 to 4 pumpovers per day to promote gentle extraction. In contrast, the Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc were fermented in small open-top vessels, where
manual punchdowns were carried out 3 times daily for more precise tannin management.
Notes of ripe black plum, blackberry compote, and Black Forest cake with a chalky mid-palate, subtle spice and refined tannins.

12067 bottles produced.

Total time on skins was 11-14 days. Following gentle pressing, all components completed malolactic fermentation in barrel to round out texture and integrate the oak.

Maturation took place in 225L French oak barriques for 18 months (35% first fill).
