Case of Waterford Rose-Mary
South African Rosé Wine
The Rose-Mary is affectionately named after Jeremy Ord’s late mother, whose personality was always light and refreshing. This is a perfect summertime wine, with an alcohol content of below 11% and low acidity, which are by-products from the care that goes into making this Rosé. The wine is unique and consists of numerous and some lesser-known red grape cultivars, making it in a class by itself. Limited skin contact during pressing only, gives the wine a beautiful blush colour.
Cultivars
Shiraz, Mourvedre, Malbec, Cinsaut, Grenache, Merlot, Tempranillo, Sangiovese
Tasting Notes
A wine showing aromas of delicate peach, fresh cherry, white floral, and citrus blossom. The fragrant nose flows to an inviting palate of fresh apricot, young nectarine and guava flavours, that finishes with a balanced acidity and a refreshingly low alcohol content. The wine presents a complex minerality and texture in the mid-palate that serves to lengthen the finish.
