Alexander
Alexander Vineyards sits between mountain and sea, where wild fynbos thrive, vines root in ancient soils and wines reflect layered, restrained terroir.
History
Where It All Began. A legacy restored, a future reimagined. In the 1960s, Alexander Moir left Cape Town’s shipyards to follow his dream of farming. Although noble, it sadly led to the loss of the land he loved.
Decades later, his grandson, Stephen Newton, has proudly revived his grandfather's vision.
Today, Alexander Vineyards stands as a tribute to legacy and landscape, crafting wines that honour both with care and quiet precision.
Our Winemaking Philosophy
Guided by Nature, Shaped with Intention
We believe great wines come from restraint and letting the vineyard speak first.
At Alexander Vineyards, winemaking is an act of quiet precision, which is why we pick early to preserve freshness, intervene only when needed, and age with care.
Our wine builds character over time, whether wild-fermented in clay amphorae or aged in seasoned oak.
Each wine is a reflection of our unique terroir; honest, complex, and beautiful.
